--Exploring for copper & gold in Western Canada--
July 11, 2007, Deerfield Beach, FL – Platinum Television Group is pleased to announce that Firesteel Resources will be featured on its innovative, educational television series, Business and Beyond. The company will be showcased in a segment on “Unique Developments in Exploration of Precious Minerals: Rising Stars in the Junior Field.”
Dominant demographic trends of economic and population growth around the globe are creating a stronger demand for natural resources, including energy and metals. In particular, the rapid population growth in India and China is estimated to consume 30 per cent of global metals production by the end of this decade.
Firesteel Resources Inc. is a junior exploration company focused on the exploration and development of gold and copper resources in Western Canada.
Currently, Firesteel’s main asset is the Copper Creek Property in North Western British Columbia, a porphyry copper discovery with an anomalously high gold content. The discovery has the unusual added value of including a supergene zone lying at the top of the main copper-gold target, which when coupled with the main asset, adds significantly to the value. This discovery is believed to be one of the most highly prospective copper-gold alkalic porphyry targets in British Columbia.
Firesteel is also concentrating its exploration efforts on the ROK property of Northern British Columbia, an area hosting many large porphyry copper-gold deposits.
Firesteel Resources’ President and CEO Don Barker says there is significant opportunity for investors to experience appreciable increase in the value of their stock: “In a world of high demand for copper and gold, the fact that Firesteel has discovered a copper-gold porphyry zone within a country of long mining history is a strong indicator that appreciable strength will be gained by Firesteel stock going into 2007.”
