PTG Studios “Today’s Family” show to feature Chestnut Hill College -- Higher education with a holistic approach-- Yahoo! Video
Deerfield Beach, FL –
PTG Studios is pleased to announce the selection of
Chestnut Hill College for its innovative, educational television series, Today’s Family. The company will be featured in a segment on “Finding the Right Faith-Based College,” as a part of the American Education Series.
Chestnut Hill College “prides itself that the students are known by name, that they are cared about, and (that we) are interested in their future,” said Sister Carol Jean Vale, the president. This is the basis of this coeducational liberal arts college located at the northwest boundary of Philadelphia, PA, known locally as the Chestnut Hill area.
Chestnut Hill offers a holistic approach to education, which “addresses the needs of the whole person --spiritual, intellectual, social, physical and cultural.” With its exceptional undergraduate, graduate, and continuing studies programs, the school attracts many exceptional students each year. There is an accelerated degree program as well, offering flexibility and education on your schedule.
Founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 1924, Chestnut Hill College is an independent, Catholic institution that “espouses the beliefs and values inherent in the Judeo-Christian tradition while it respects the contributions made by other faith traditions in the development of the whole person.”
Integrated as a coed school in 2001, Chestnut Hill has made its “tradition of success and excellence” available to all. Recent donations have allowed for expansion in the form of retreat programs available to both students and faculty.
Historically strong in psychology, sciences, and English, the college has modified its curriculum through the years to correspond with the everchanging demands of education, culture, and society. More than 10,000 degrees have been granted since 1924.
